Community Activities

ACA has been involved in a number of community activities over the years—AIDS Walk, September 11th memorials, blood drives, etc.—so this is a page that could use some serious updating with new pictures. But for now, here's a glimpse of ACA community activities of yore.

Here's the ACA working the phones during a fund drive for Austin public television station KLRU. We raised over $6000 that night for public television.

Ray Blevins and Kellen Von Houser appear as guests on Gene Stevens' "Liberated Space," a public affairs radio program on KO-OP 91.7 FM.

From the officers:

The ACA Lecture Series continues Sunday, September 7 with speaker Oak DeBerg who will give a talk titled: Are Atheists in the Military the "New" Gay, (or Black or Female)? The lecture will be at the Austin History starting at 12:15pm.

The first ever ACA Garage Sale will Saturday, September 6th. Proceeds will benefit the ACA.
The 2008 ACA Bat Cruise will be September 20th. Come join us for this great event. Guests are welcome. The fee will be $20.
The Texas Freethought Convention will be Sunday, October 26th in Austin.
