Summer Solstice Party to be June 21st

Mike will host the ACA Summer Solstice Party on Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 5pm - 1am at Mike's house. The event will be a combination adult/kids affair. The event will be family-friendly early on and fade into more of an adult party later.
For the kids:
One bedroom will have a showing of kids movies from 5pm to whenever the last kid leaves. Also, a Slip and Slide will be available. Adults can play too!)
For the adults:
Mike has a game room which includes a video arcade machine and pool table. There will be two tables setup in the garage for Texas Hold 'Em. Inside, he'll have Karaoke on the big screen. There will also be Guitar Hero and Wii for people to play.
What Mike will provide:
- Plenty of "regular beer" (none of the expensive stuff :) )
- Plenty of various snacks
- Hot dogs and hamburgers with plenty of condiments
What you should provide:
Side items like potato salad, chips, soda's, cole slaw, etc.
If you want to bring your own beer/hard alcohol please feel free to do so.
If you're bringing a child please bring a DVD or two to show.
The party is for ACA members, their spouses, family, and atheist-friendly friends. Kids are welcome. PLEASE e-mail Mike if you plan on coming (let me know if you're bring kids and what ages) and what you feel you can bring. The ACA Lecture Series continues Sunday, October 11th at 12:15pm in the Austin History Center, 9th and Guadalupe. The building opens at noon. Texas Freedom Network's Dan Quinn will give us an update on their activities. The lecture is free and open to the public.
