Our upcoming Bat Cruise

Date: Saturday, September 23, 2017 | 6:00 pm - | 8:00 pm

Departure is right at 6 pm (PLEASE be punctual). A double-decker boat will cruise up and down the river ending at the Congress bridge to watch the bats emerge.

There will be a pre-cruise lecture earlier in the afternoon with our special guest Muhammad Syed from Ex-Muslims of North America.

You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks (for yourself or to share) along. Tickets are available as follows and from the site below:

$30 for an Adult Ticket (Ages 13+)
$10 for a Kid's Ticket (Ages 5-12)
Children 4 and under are free

Prior to our annual Bat Cruise, come join us for a pre-cruise lecture to expand your knowledge before watching the bats. This event is FREE and open to the public. This year, Muhammad Syed will be our special guest lecturer.

Muhammad is a human rights activist, writer, speaker and community organizer. He is the founder and president of Ex-Muslims of North-America (EXMNA), the first Ex-Muslim advocacy and community building organization in North America.

Muhammad has been a human rights activist for the past decade, with a focus on efforts to normalize religious dissent and promote acceptance of secularism in Muslim communities.

Muhammad has been interviewed by BBC, Fox News, NPR, SiriusXM Insight and his work with EXMNA has been covered by the New York Times, National Post and Al-Jazeera among others.

Atheist Community of Austin

The Atheist Community of Austin is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting positive atheism and the separation of church and state. The ACA serves the local Austin community through outreach programs, providing informational resources and various volunteer activities. In addition, the ACA serves the community-at-large through free online portals including informational wikis, regular audio/video podcasts and interactive blogs.
