Good Science Books

I enjoy reading about the different scientific theories that are frequently talked about such as evolution and the big bang. My understanding of the scientific method is lacking, however; and I was wondering if anyone had any book recommendations that explains how scientific method works. Thanks!

Isaac Asimov's "Guide to Earth and Space" is a non-fiction book that is an introduction to modern Earth and astronomical science.

Isaac Asimov was a well known science fiction writer, but like most science fiction writers he knew a great deal about science. Isaac Asimov was known for his ability to explain science and make complex subjects understandable.
